Based in Arusha Tanzania, ZAS was started 7 years ago by its CEO and founder, Lilian M. Kramer, a local Tanzanian. Through hard work, perseverance and excellent customer service she has built the company from the ground up, always keeping customer satisfaction and their well-being at the core of her business. Today, Zohar African Safaris is a boutique Safari Company that not just tracks wildlife but that also, as our customers say, takes you away from the crowds in Africa for an authentic experience.

Lilian M. Kramer | Founder & Managing Director
Lilian M. Kramer is a creative and visionary individual with a wide range of knowledge in various aspects of the tourism industry and safari tours in Tanzania and throughout Africa. The skill sets she has been applying to the travel industry for more than 11 years such as leadership, management expertise, organizational collaboration and excellent communication skills, has seen her travel throughout Africa, the Middle East and Europe in an effort to allow Zohar to offer authentic and exciting experiences to her guests.
Due to Lily’s personality and travel industry knowledge she has assembled a dynamic, hardworking and committed team of professionals who are specialists in various fields within the travel and tourism industry including experienced tour guides and customer service experts who have worked for years in Africa safari industry.
Lily earned a BA from the Dodoma University where she majored in Sociology and Cultural Anthropology. Following her university studies, she worked as a safari consultant for several leading Tanzania safari companies and has also served as operations manager and general manager while doing so.
Jackline G. Lema | Partner & Operations Director
Meet Jackline, the brilliant mind behind the seamless operations of our safari company. With her passion for wildlife and keen eye for operational excellence, Jackie plays a vital role in shaping distinctive safari experiences that define our company. From coordinating logistics to ensuring the highest standards of customer satisfaction, Jackie oversees the daily office operations including the intricate details that transform a safari into a once-in-a-lifetime journey!
A few years after earning her bachelor degree in accounting from the Moshi University of Cooperative & Business Studies, Jackie decided to take different courses in the tourism and hospitality industry including conservation, management, sales & customer service.
Beyond the boardroom, Jackline is a true advocate for sustainable tourism and wildlife conservation. She actively engages in wildlife conservation initiatives. Whether collaborating with local conservation organizations or implementing eco-conscious policies within our operations, she strives to make a positive impact. At the heart of our company, she stands as a driving force towards a future where tourism and conservation coalesce seamlessly for the benefit of our planet and the generations to come.
