NDUTU

Ndutu is a well-known wildlife game area in southern Serengeti and an essential part of the Ngorongoro ecosystem to the west. This region is highly favored by nature enthusiasts and is considered to be a critical habitat for wildebeests. The wildebeests migrate to Ndutu between December and March, marking the onset of the “Calving Season.” During this period, over a quarter of a million wildebeest calves are born, providing visitors with a captivating spectacle.

In addition to the wildebeests, the region is also an ideal location for observing cheetahs, pride of lions, leopard as well as other big cats, in their natural habitats throughout the year. Ndutu offers an exceptional opportunity to explore a range of landscapes, including swamps, woodland, soda lakes, and the famous Serengeti short grass plains. The acacia woodlands in Ndutu offer an ideal hunting ground for a diverse range of animal species, including the big cats mentioned earlier.

What sets Ndutu apart is the ability to drive off the main roads during the game viewing, which allows visitors to get closer to wildlife and fully appreciate the beauty of nature.
