Arusha Town Tour
- $50 Per Person

Arusha, Tanzania, is known as the safari capital of the country. It serves as a transit town for all the safaris in the Northern Circuit, which includes Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, Manyara, majestic Kilimanjaro, and much more.

Arusha Town tour starts from the Clock Tower, the midpoint between Cairo and Johannesburg. Don’t miss the Maasai Market for handmade ebony carvings, clothes, slippers, handbags, necklaces, paintings, and household items made by friendly Maasai people.

The Arusha Declaration monument and museum is another important destination to visit (entry fee applies). It is an essential center of East African diplomacy and human rights in the region in the last half of the 20th century. It is a testament to the will of the Tanzanian people to foster peace and prosperity in Africa.

Additionally, visiting the central market is an excellent opportunity to learn about and buy different African spices, vegetables, and fruits to experience the everyday life of Tanzanians. Visitors who are interested can also visit the Arusha City bus terminal (don’t be shocked about the hassle and bustle; your guide will know what to do and where to go).

While you’re here, don’t miss the chance to visit the Cultural Heritage Centre and explore its impressive collection of artwork and local jewelry. Among the treasures you’ll find are pieces made from Tanzanite gemstones, which are exclusive to Tanzania and highly prized for their unique beauty.

If you are interested and have enough time, you may also opt for the below additional activities (additional fees may apply):

Shanga – a local initiative combining recycling of materials, providing employment to people with disabilities and beautiful handmade jewelry, glassware and homewares.

Meserani Snake Park – a free health clinic that also provides a chance to safely interact with some of the world’s most dangerous snakes and friendly turtles and reptiles while educating the community on safety and Maasai cultural heritage.
