Olduvai Gorge is a historical site where the famous archaeologists Louis and Mary Leakey and discovered evidence of the oldest prehistoric human civilization and a human skull dating back 1.8 million years ago. In the museum you will learn about human evolution, you will see the remains of the first human footprint, see the layers of volcanic eruption distinguished by colors etc.

You will also have optional walking safari (about 1.5 – 2hrs) down to the George for further information including seeing the actual location of where the skull was found, see the layers of volcanic eruption etc.
