This is an exclusive excursion over the Serengeti or Ndutu Plains, offering unparalleled panoramic views of the wonderful landscape. The experience starts with a pre-dawn pick up from your lodge at around 5am and a drive to the launch site. The pilot will review safety precautions and demonstrate boarding and landing procedures.

As the sun rises, you will lift off and begin floating gently in whatever direction the winds take you over the Serengeti or Ndutu for an hour depending on weather. Your pilot knows and will point out specific animals, birds, and other features of interest. As you float over the plains in the increasing light, the pilot will take you up to at least 300m altitude for a breathtaking panoramic view of the plains. Much of the remainder of the flight will be at tree-top or even grass-top level for close up views of the flora and fauna below.

After floating on air for an hour, you will land in the middle of nowhere and celebrate the happy landing with champagne. Later on, the balloon staff will transfer you to the bush breakfast area for a hearty English breakfast before your safari guide collects you to continue with the game drive.
