Arusha Town Tour
Arusha Town Tour
Our Arusha Town tour will allow you to explore the town thoroughly from its famous point, the clock town, the midpoint between Cairo and Johannesburg, to the most exciting spot of Arusha. You will visit the Arusha Declaration Monument and Museum, an essential centre of East African diplomacy and human rights in the region for the last half of the 20th century. It is a testament to the will of the Tanzanian people to foster peace and prosperity in Africa.
You will descend to the Maasai Market, where you will see (and can buy) handmade ebony carvings, clothes, slippers, handbags, necklaces, paintings, and household items made by the friendly Maasai people. After the Maasai market visit, you will walk or drive down to the central local market, which offers an excellent opportunity to learn about (and buy) different African spices, vegetables, and fruits and experience Tanzanians’ everyday lives. If interested, you can visit the Arusha City bus terminal. Don’t be overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle; your expert guide will easily navigate you through the terminal, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.
The tour will also take you to the Cultural Heritage Center to explore the photographic museum, which offers an impressive collection of local and international artists. Later, you will visit the massive art gallery with countless products made of beads, wool, and wood. Among the treasures you will find are pieces made from Tanzanite gemstones, exclusive to Tanzania and highly prized for their unique beauty.
If you are interested and have enough time, you may also opt for the below additional activities (additional fees may apply):
