Fly to Kigali, Rwanda
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport (KGL), your safari guide will pick you up transfer you to your hotel in Kigali town, which is about 20 – 30 minutes’ drive. Your guide will brief you on your itinerary before your safari begins. If you have any questions, concerns or need further clarification on something prior to driving to Bwindi, today would be the perfect day.

Kigali Serena Lodge
Kigali Serena Hotel is located in Central Kigali, just 10 km from Kigali International Airport. Upon arrival, guests are warmly welcomed into a stunning granite atrium adorned with beautiful Rwandan art pieces. Kigali City Tour, Proceed to Volcanoes National Park
Today begins with a guided tour of Kigali city, where you’ll explore the bustling local market and visit the Genocide Memorial site and museum. After enjoying lunch in town, you’ll head north to the Ruhengeri region, nestled at the foothills of the Volcanoes Mountains and near Volcanoes National Park.

Afterward, return to your hotel for lunch, relaxation, and the option to enjoy a range of additional activities.

Fly to Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO), Tanzania
After having breakfast, you will drive to Kigali Airport (KGL) for an international flight to Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO). Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may attend a safari briefing at our Arusha office before heading to the lodge for an overnight stay. If your arrival is late, the briefing will be conducted the next morning. Please know the flight is NOT included in the price below.

Upon arrival in the Northern Serengeti, you will meet your safari guide, who will pick you up and get you ready for an exciting game drive tracking the Wildebeest Migration. The Northern Serengeti features gorgeous landscapes of green rolling hills, granite outcrops, and acacia woodlands dotting open savanna, incredible wildlife, and, most importantly, the Great Migration!

In the Wind Migration Camp
This camp is located in two stunning areas: Ndutu and Northern Serengeti. It is strategically positioned to offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and easy access to key wildlife gathering spots, particularly during the Great Migration season. This location is essential for witnessing the annual migration of wildebeest and zebras, including the majestic Mara River crossing from June to October and the calving season from December to March.

Northern Serengeti
Witness the spectacular sight of large herds of wildebeest and zebra trying to cross the Mara River while being hunted by giant crocodiles. The Great Migration involves over 2.5 million wildebeest, driven by ancient rhythms and natural instincts as they follow water sources in a clockwise rotation, covering 1,600 miles per year. The North Serengeti offers a variety of wildlife, including the big five.

Serengeti Final Game Drive + Ngorongoro Crater Rim Walking Safari
Today, you will set off on a final game drive in Serengeti with a packed lunch, providing more opportunities to capture heart-stopping photos. Later, you will set off to Ngorongoro for a one-hour walking safari on the crater rim, out of the car, without committing to a serious trek. Spend the evening at leisure, have dinner, and rest for the night.
