Ndere Cultural Centre

Ndere Cultural Centre
The Ndere Cultural Centre is a vibrant African cultural hub located in Uganda, set on a sprawling 22-acre (9-hectare) property rich with native flora and fauna. The center beautifully blends traditional African architecture with modern design, creating a welcoming space to celebrate Uganda’s cultural diversity.
On Sundays, Fridays, and Wednesdays, the renowned Ndere Troupe performs dynamic showcases of Uganda’s heritage through captivating music, dance, and storytelling. You’ll witness energetic displays like the Acholi courtship dance “Lara Karaka”, the royal “Bwola” dance, and Buganda’s regal “Amagunjja”, each reflecting the distinct identity of Uganda’s many tribes.
The experience also includes traditional poetry, folk tales, and vibrant live music, often led by the charismatic founder, Stephen Ruwangyezi. Guests can participate in learning local dances, discover how to prepare regional dishes, and savor an authentic buffet featuring flavors from Uganda’s diverse ethnic groups.
