Olduvai Gorge is a historical site where the famous archaeologists Louis and Mary Leakey discovered evidence of the oldest prehistoric human civilization and a human skull dating back 1.8 million years ago. In the museum you will learn about human evolution, you will see the remains of the first human footprint, and see the layers of volcanic eruption distinguished by colors.
You will also have the option of undertaking a short walking safari (1.5 to 2 hours) down to the Gorge to learn more about this historically significant site including seeing the actual location when the skull was found and the many layers formed by volcanic eruptions
