Serengeti Balloon Safari

This exclusive experience over the Serengeti offers unparalleled panoramic views of the beautiful landscape. The experience starts with a pre-dawn pick-up from your lodge at around 5 a.m. and a drive to the launch site. The pilot will review safety precautions and demonstrate boarding and landing procedures.

As the sun rises, you will lift off and begin floating gently in the direction the winds take you over the Serengeti for an hour, depending on the weather. Your experienced pilot, a true master of the Serengeti sky, will point out specific animals, birds, and other features of interest. Imagine the thrill of soaring over the plains, reaching at least 300m altitude for a breathtaking panoramic landscape view. 

But the excitement does not end there! After floating in the air for an hour, you will land in the middle of nowhere and celebrate the happy landing with champagne. You will then be whisked away to the bush breakfast area for a hearty English breakfast before your safari guide collects you to continue the game drive. This is an adventure you will never forget!

Note: The Serengeti balloon safari is conducted across the entire Serengeti, from Central to South (Ndutu Area) and West to Northern Serengeti. A balloon safari in Central Serengeti is available all year round. However, flying in other parts of the Serengeti is best when the Great Wildebeest Migrations are present.
