Victoria Falls Guided Tour
Victoria Falls, also known as “The Smoke That Thunders,” is a magnificent natural wonder located in the heart of Zimbabwe. The iconic waterfall is about 1700 meters (5,577 feet) wide and 108 meters (354 feet) tall. Visitors can take a guided walk to the falls to learn about its history, geology, and ecology. The well-maintained trails through the rainforest offer stunning views from 16 different viewpoints, each providing a unique perspective of the falls. The lush rainforest surrounding the falls is home to an array of exotic plants and diverse birdlife. Visitors may also encounter monkeys and bushbucks during the tour.
The best time to see the most significant falls is between February and June when the world’s largest sheet of falling water flows at its greatest volume. Wear open shoes and a raincoat during this time, as you will get soaked from the fall spray. It is also possible to visit the falls from July to early September. However, the water levels drop progressively as the months pass until the lowest levels are reached during December and January.
