OVERVIEW
Referred to as “The Pearl of Africa,” Uganda is undeniably one of Africa’s most extraordinary and diverse safari destinations. It is the habitat of the largest remaining wild gorillas in the world, providing daily gorilla trekking opportunities for numerous visitors throughout the year. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Mountain Gorilla Park are home to half the world’s mountain gorilla population.
Uganda’s distinct and varied terrain includes the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains and the vast Lake Victoria. Kibale National Park draws in numerous visitors interested in observing chimpanzees. At the same time, Queen Elizabeth National Park remains a highly regarded destination for witnessing the “Big Five” and other stunning wildlife such as giraffes, Ugandan kop, and waterbuck. Murchison Falls National Park offers visitors the chance to intimately experience nature while hiking to witness Uganda’s tallest waterfalls (43m). The park also houses hippos and other captivating wildlife.
