Amboseli National Park

Amboseli National Park—formerly known as the Maasai Amboseli Game Reserve—is a breathtaking wildlife haven in Kajiado County, Kenya.
Its name, Amboseli, originates from the Maasai word Empusel, meaning salty dust place.
This iconic park is world-renowned for offering some of Kenya’s best elephant-viewing experiences, where visitors can observe large herds roaming freely against a spectacular backdrop.
Towering over the park’s vast plains is Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, creating one of the most photogenic landscapes in the world.
While elephants are the park’s main highlight, Amboseli is also home to a rich variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, impalas, warthogs, and jackals.
Amboseli’s diverse ecosystems make it a paradise for nature lovers, featuring expansive savannahs, lush wetlands with sulfur springs, acacia woodlands, and the vast, dried-up lakebed of Lake Amboseli.
These contrasting landscapes provide an incredible setting for wildlife viewing, photography, and immersive safari experiences.
To truly appreciate Amboseli’s beauty and wildlife, a minimum stay of two nights is highly recommended. Whether you’re a seasoned safari-goer or a first-time visitor, Amboseli promises an unforgettable encounter with nature at its most magnificent.
