Kruger National Park

Established in 1898 by then-president Paul Kruger, Kruger National Park stands as one of Africa’s largest and most legendary game reserves. Spanning approximately 7,523 square miles (19,485 square kilometers), it stretches from Zimbabwe in the north to Mozambique in the east, offering visitors access to some of the most diverse and abundant wildlife on the continent.
Kruger is perhaps best known for being one of the few places in Africa where you can reliably spot the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo—alongside hundreds of other mammal, bird, and reptile species. The park’s expansive and varied landscapes, which include open savannas, dense forests, rivers, and grasslands, create the perfect setting for unforgettable wildlife encounters.
But Kruger offers far more than just incredible animal sightings. Visitors can take part in self-drive safaris, ranger-guided game drives, walking safaris, birdwatching, and overnight camping experiences. Whether you’re looking for the thrill of spotting predators in the wild or the serenity of a sunrise over the bush, Kruger delivers at every turn.
With its rich biodiversity, historic roots, and incredible scenery, Kruger National Park is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking the ultimate African safari adventure.
