Maasai Mara National Reserve
The Maasai Mara Game Reserve is Kenya’s most popular and rewarding safari destination in southwest Kenya. It is renowned for its vast population of big cats, including a magnificent pride of lions and elusive leopards. Despite its relatively smaller size, the park offers exceptional opportunities to spot a wide variety of wildlife. The landscape is characterized by expansive grassy plains and rolling hills, intersected by the Mara and Talek rivers, while nearby scattered villages are inhabited by the Maasai people.
Forming a unique partnership, the Maasai Mara Game Reserve and Serengeti National Park in northern Tanzania constitute Africa’s most distinctive and remarkable ecosystem. This collaboration has propelled them to the world’s top safari and big game viewing area, providing an unparalleled wildlife experience.
To fully experience Maasai, staying for a minimum of two nights is recommended. For those with more time, an extra night would be ideal.
