WHEN TO VISIT

Tarangire National Park is especially interesting for game drives during the dry season – late June to October.

At this time of the year, huge numbers of thirsty animals congregate along the banks of the Tarangire River. However, the park remains an excellent spot for visiting throughout the year, guaranteeing opportunities to witness elephants and a variety of other wildlife species.   • Spectacular wildlife including big groups of elephants, predators like lions, cheetahs and leopards and many other stunning wildlife.
  • More than 500 species of birds.

HOW TO GET THERE

  • Road: it’s 2-hour drive from Arusha, the safari transit town.
  • Flight: the park can be reached by short flights: 20min from Arusha Airport (ARK) and 45min from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
