Travel Dates: June

During this safari, you will track the migration herds in the western part of the Serengeti. This area offers impressive views of large groups of wildebeests and zebras boldly crossing the dangerous Grumeti River. Amid the crossing, they come face to face with hungry crocodiles lurking beneath the water’s surface. Patient predators find the inexperienced young wildebeests and zebras easy to hunt.

Besides following the Migration, you will explore Tarangire, which is home to a large population of elephants and other unique wildlife such as leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, and over a hundred different species of birds. This safari also offers ample time to experience the vast open plains of Central Serengeti, which are dominated by a magnificent pride of lions. Your safari experience would not be complete without descending into the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest caldera in the world, home to over twenty-five thousand resident animals, including the “Big Five.”
