Ngorongoro Crater Tour
The Ngorongoro Crater, which spans only 10 miles (16 kilometers) in width, was formed around three million years ago when a massive volcano collapsed. Today, it is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and shelters over 25,000 resident animals, creating a truly unique and self-contained ecosystem. Within its grass-covered steppes and acacia woodlands, visitors can observe nearly every species found in the East African savanna—including the iconic African “Big Five”.
