  • The “big five” and other remarkable wildlife.
  • Great Migration – August is the best month to see the Migration.
  • Local Maasai people as well as their livestock and surroundings.
  • Large predators, including considerable pride of lions, leopards and cheetahs.

HOW TO GET THERE

  • Road: The Maasai Mara National Reserve is a 5-hour drive from Nairobi through the Sekenani gate. Alternatively, you can access the Maasai Mara from Northern Serengeti via the Isebania border. The road conditions are poor, so many visitors prefer to fly in using one of the small airstrips.
  • Flight: You can take a domestic flight from Nairobi Wilson Airport to Maasai Mara, or you can take a scheduled flight from Serengeti to Maasai Mara.
