Lake Mburo National Park
Located in Uganda, Lake Mburo National Park may be the smallest park in the country, but it boasts a diverse and captivating landscape. From dry hillsides to rock outcrops, bushes, woodlands, and forests, the park offers a picturesque and varied vegetation.
The swamp area surrounding Lake Mburo is a unique ecosystem in itself, providing the opportunity to observe elusive papyrus mammals such as the sitatunga antelope and the black/red and yellow papyrus gonolek.
Visitors can immerse themselves in the rich biodiversity of the park. The park is home to a wide array of animals, from elands, zebras, impalas, topis, and buffaloes. The park’s five lakes also offer sightings of hippos, crocodiles, and a diverse range of bird species.

WHEN TO VISIT
The best time to visit Lake Mburo National Park is during the dry season of June to September and December to February, as animals gather around the water points, so they are easily located and seen in more significant numbers.
