The best time to travel to the Okavango Delta in Botswana is generally during the dry season, which runs from May to October.

During this time, the floodwaters recede, allowing for easier access to the area and better wildlife viewing opportunities.

HOW TO GET THERE

To reach the Okavango Delta, the most efficient method is to board a chartered plane from Maun International Airport in Botswana, the primary gateway to the Delta.

From Maun, direct flights are available to several landing strips within the Delta. Alternatively, you can opt for a flight from Kasane Airport near Chobe National Park if you also visit Chobe.
