My husband and I explored Serengeti and Ngorongoro, and Solomon’s skills made it magical.His eyesight is unreal! He’d spot lions in an open field from what felt like miles away and even picked out cheetahs hiding in the brush—seriously impressive! In Ngorongoro, he skillfully got us perfect views of rhinos while sharing fascinating wildlife facts. We spent a total of 11 days on safari with the Zohar team. We started in the northern part and focused on the Great Migration for several days. The days were marked by unimaginably large herds of animals and spectacular rivercrossings. Then we continued to the central part. Here we saw many lions, a total of 7 leopards and over 20 cheetahs. As a family, we had the goal to catch a hunt in previous Africa Safari trips and never had this opportunity before this trip. Only through our excellent guide Solomon we were able to witness 3 hunts on land this year. Solomon was able to predict exactly what the animals would do next each time, even if a long wait followed before the final hunt. Solomon also excelled at his incredible vision. Every few minutes he saw a new animal, hidden in a tree or lying almost invisible on the ground at a distance. All along, the Zohar team and especially Solomon have been flexible in responding to our wishes and needs as a family, making this journey even more impressive and formative for us. Compared to other guides on previous holidays Solomon stands out strongly and when we travel to Africa again we try everything to have him back as a guide. I don’t know where to start, from our driver, Loy, the animals, the stops at small local markets, the rough roads of the serengeti, the courteous staff and the clean lodges. We went on a safari with Zohar this October as a family of six. I can really highly recommend this travel company. We spent our 11 days on safari in the northern and central part of the Serengeti. With our fantastic guide Solomon we spent 11 hours a day in the Serengeti. Depending on your wishes, we could of course have made the days shorter or different. But this was not necessary, because Solomon was able to tell us so much interesting and exciting about nature and wildlife. He is also an excellent guide who understands, protects and respects nature and wildlife. We were allowed to see all the big 5 in just a few days and enjoy even without much more tourists. The selected camps were very nice and had great facilities as well as food. Breakfast and lunch (which was always very adequate and delicious) we always enjoyed in the Serengeti in a beautiful shaded place mostly under a tree. We had a really nice, family trip where our personal ideas and wishes were very much taken into account. Many thanks to Solomon, who was able to show us so many great animals and discovered them mostly in front of the other guides. I can highly recommend anyone who really wants to get to know and appreciate African nature and wildlife to travel with Zohar. The whole trip was extremely well organized, there were extensive documents in advance as well as a separate briefing before departure. His love for birdwatching inspired us too, and we spotted so many beautiful birds while learning a lot from him. Together, we crafted a perfect 8-day itinerary combining thrilling game drives, a breathtaking hot air balloon experience, and meaningful cultural encounters — all beautifully balanced for adventure and relaxation.The accommodations, from migration camps to boutique lodges, were superb — comfortable, authentic, and perfectly located. Zohar’s safari jeeps were also impressively well-equipped, stocked with everything from snacks and water to wipes and even toilet paper — details that made a big difference out in the bush.Our guides and drivers, Solomon and Goodluck, were truly exceptional — real professionals who became friends by the end of the trip. Oh, and he also makes a great “bush bartender” during sunset sundowners! 🍹What touched us most was how genuinely the Zohar team made us feel like family. They surprised us with birthday celebrations, took care of every detail, and even fulfilled my husband’s special request — helping him capture a photograph of a baobab tree under the Milky Way for his astrophotography project.
